Mufti Day - Friday 29th June 2026 - Supporting Tavistock Youth Café
On Friday 26th June, the College will be holding a Mufti Day to support and raise funds for the much-loved Tavistock Youth Café, whose ongoing work in our community is invaluable.
Having worked alongside Tavistock Youth Café for several years, I have seen first-hand the positive and lasting impact they have on young people, as well as their wider contribution to our town.
To find out more about the important work they do, please visit their website:

Tavistock Youth Café will also be hosting a fundraising week from 22nd–28th June, so we encourage families to visit their website for further details and opportunities to get involved.
For our Mufti Day, the College will be accepting donations via School Gateway on Friday 26th June. Families are invited to donate £1, £3, or £5, with all funds going directly to support Tavistock Youth Café.
Below is a message from Tavistock Youth Café Manager, Vicki Lloydy-Walsh:
Tavistock Youth Café offers a wide range of services, sessions, and activities for young people in Tavistock and the surrounding area. We are a charity that employs six professional youth workers and provides sessions either free or at very low cost, ensuring that young people can access our services, trips, and activities.
To continue this work, we rely on funding applications, grants, and community fundraising each year. However, securing funding is becoming increasingly challenging due to rising competition and the impact of the cost of living.
We greatly value the support and enthusiasm of our community and understand how much our organisation means to many young people and their families. This year, we are asking our community to get involved in our fundraising week—every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
