Wednesday 1 April 2026 Dockyards trip March 2026 The Dockyards Visit 2026 was an inspiring and hands‑on experience for the eleven students from Years 10 to 13 who travelled to the Devonport Naval Base to spend the day with 47 Commando. From the moment we arrived, the Royal Navy team made the group feel welcome and engaged, offering insightful introductions to their work and the vital role they play. Students were able to see a range of small naval vessels up close and had the unique opportunity to board and explore various landing craft and RIBs, gaining an authentic sense of their operational purpose and how they are used in real maritime scenarios.

Monday 30 March 2026 Year 10 Battlefields Trip Students from Tavistock college recently went to the First World War battlefields to gain an insight into the realities of warfare and the lives of the soldiers in the trenches from 1914 to 1918 that would benefit them for their History GCSE exams next year.

Thursday 12 February 2026 Year 12 Performing Arts: The Cream Tea Conundrum Our Year 12 Performing Arts students recently delighted audiences with The Cream Tea Conundrum, an interactive comedy performance created and performed by Unknown Octopus Theatre Co as their debut production. Blending drama, dance, musical theatre and pantomime-inspired comedy, the performance showcased the students' creativity, energy and teamwork.
