U15 Girls Secure Victory and County Finals Spot
The U15 Girls delivered an outstanding performance at the West Devon Indoor Cricket Championships held at Marjons today.
After a narrow 9-run loss to Devonport High School for Girls in their opening match, Tavistock responded superbly with a must-win victory over Ivybridge. Strong batting from Belle B, Lilia P and Sophia B set a total of 75, before a superb bowling display - led by Edith C’s four wickets in six balls and excellent wicketkeeping from Evelyn C - secured the win.
Tavistock finished the day with an impressive 85-run total against Millbay, supported by another disciplined fielding performance.
With three teams tied on six points, overall runs scored decided the final standings. Tavistock topped the group with 252 runs, earning a place in the county finals.
