Tavistock College’s U13 Mixed Cricket Team Impress at Recent Tournament
Tavistock College fielded the only fully mixed boys’ and girls’ team at a recent U13 cricket competition, where seven students represented the school with distinction. The team narrowly missed progressing to the next round after a close four‑run loss to Ivybridge in their opening match. They bounced back strongly in the second game against Stoke, posting a competitive 69 runs thanks to standout batting from George D—who retired after a series of powerful shots—supported by Oliver N, Zak G, and Arthur L.
The bowling attack then delivered an exceptional performance, restricting Stoke to just 32 runs. Georgia B earned “Bowler of the Game” after taking three wickets. Staff praised the team’s conduct, teamwork, and the positive example they set as a fully mixed squad.
