Grammar Stream
Each September, a new cohort of students joins us, with a range of talents, passions, experiences and needs. We have always sought to ensure that every student is supported and challenged to reach their full potential. We are creating a Grammar Stream for the Year 7 cohort of 2026, and subsequent cohorts, as an offer for our most able students.
The Grammar Stream provides a wider range of academic study beyond the core curriculum, as well as a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, for our most able students, putting them on the pathway to the top universities.
In addition, we believe that a Grammar Stream within a mixed, comprehensive school setting provides a unique and desirable experience for students: movement into and out of the Grammar Stream each year means that the experience can be a reality for all – including for those students who have not reached their academic peak by the time of traditional grammar school entrance tests in Year 6.
