On Monday and Tuesday this week, our sixth form welcomed prospective students with an excellent introduction to college life for Step-up induction days. Yr 12 student ambassadors also played a key role across both days, contributing to a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all attendees.

Their friendly approach helped prospective students feel comfortable and gave them an authentic insight into student life. Ambassadors also shared their personal experiences of studying at the college, offering valuable advice about courses, enrichment opportunities, and the transition to Sixth Form education to level 3 courses.

Throughout the day, students participated in a range of induction activities, including taster lessons, team-building exercises, and tutor programmes. They also had the opportunity meet their tutors and to mix with other students who are new to the college. Their enthusiasm and willingness to engage with all the activities on offer demonstrated the learning environment that exists within the college. 

Overall, the induction days were an excellent opportunity for prospective students to engage with our sixth-form, and the support of our Yr 12 Student Ambassadors was instrumental in making the event both informative and enjoyable. Their involvement showcased the leadership, commitment, and positive culture that are central to our Sixth Form community.
