Can I change my subject options after submitting the form?
Absolutely! You can revise your subject choices at any time by completing another form. After 31st January, simply email us directly. You’ll also have a chance to reconsider your options following your GCSE results in the summer.
How many subjects do I need to take?
Most students take three subjects, which can be a combination of A Levels and BTECs. Some students choose to take four, but as this is a significant challenge, we recommend discussing this with the Sixth Form team beforehand.
Why study A Levels or BTEC courses?
A Level and BTEC qualifications are nationally recognised and essential for progression into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment. They provide academic depth and valuable practical skills.
What happens if I don’t meet the entry requirements?
Don’t worry — our Sixth Form team will work closely with you to review your goals and help you find a subject combination that best fits your aspirations and qualifications.
Do you offer Level 2 courses?
Yes! We offer a 1-year Level 2 pathway for students who do not yet meet the criteria for Level 3 courses. This includes:
- A vocational business or health & social care course
- GCSE resits in Maths and English
- A King’s Trust programme (formerly Prince’s Trust) focused on employability and personal development
Entry to this pathway is discussed during Year 12 enrolment.
Still have questions?
Please don’t hesitate to contact the Sixth Form office. We’re here to help and excited to support you on your journey.
